RAW Fashion & Art Event: October 20, 2011

National arts organization remixes Mercy Lounge with a collaboration of fashion, art, dance, film and music; adding a sprinkle of Los Angeles flair to the Nashville night scene.
 

NASHVILLE, TN- RAW: natural born artists, a Southern California based indie arts organization launched nationally in January 2011. After producing monthly showcases in over 21 cities RAW creates a national platform for local artist and event goers.
 

On Thursday, October 20th, 2011 RAW will return with its 8th show at the famous Mercy Lounge entitled PULSE. The show will feature over 20 talented artists covering several artistic genres. This show will spotlight: musical performances by Steve Lester, Sexstone, Rae Hering and Shane Ownby; fashion show featuring clothing designers Quiana Tharpe of X’Qua and Brandon Carruth of Carrouth Couture and accessory designers April Nicolaides of Ferocity Jewelry and Genevieve Joyner; also featuring hair and makeup artists Lauren Eggers, Danita Q. Berry of CapDIVAting Beauty, Somica Spratley of Poison & Passion and EdenSong Essentials skin care by Stephanie Rountree. Local visual artists to include Ginny Edwards of Vgraphics, photographers Jahaira Cochrane and Herschel Pollard and more. RAW PULSE will also highlight choreographers and performances by Rashad Gardner and Stacie M. Flood-Popp of the Stacie M. Flood-Popp & Found Movement Group.
 

The event will start promptly at 8pm with live entertainment all night long. Black and white cocktail attire is required. RAW has teamed up with Lotus Energy Drink www.lotusforever.com for their 2012 calendar release party. Most Creative Mask – Lotus Prize Package valued at over $250. Best Dressed Duo – Lotus Prize Package valued at over $400.

PULSE will conclude the RAW season. RAW City Awards will take place in 20 cities on November 17th. Nashville is set at Mercy Lounge. Winners will be recognized and compete at the annual RAWards on January 12th at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA.
